Watch Training: Field Scheduling & Dispatch

Watch Training: Field Scheduling & Dispatch

Spreadsheets and magnet boards are the status quo for scheduling labor in the construction industry. These last-century tools are holding contractors back because they’re fragmented and offline. Schedules usually aren’t available to teams until the day of the labor meeting, either.

Field Communications is in a similar spot. There isn’t a paper trail, and unfortunately project managers are typically left out of labor communications. Plenty of contractors still spend hours sending a flurry of emails, text messages and phone calls the night before a project update too.

Then there are the project details. Does the job need cold weather gear? Someone with CPR training? Where’s parking? With a Workforce Management platform, making sure everyone has the same answers to questions like those is a lot easier.

“Sending out a Dispatch with everything associated has been a time saver for us,” said Karen Schweihofer, Labor Coordinator at Motor City Electric.

Lindsey Lemmond, Field & Compliance Coordinator at HMT Electric, agreed.

“It’s great to have everything in one spot,” she said. “We can just send it off and there’s no confusion. I love this feature.”

RIVET’s powerful Field Scheduling and Dispatch tools are simple to use and can save you hours of spreadsheet management and manual messaging every week.
