SMACNA 2024: What we learned at one of sheet metal’s biggest trade shows

SMACNA 2024

We brought so many contractor insights back from SMACNA 2024

We’ve returned from the California desert to our home base in Detroit, and are so excited to share what we learned from sheet metal and mechanical contractors at SMACNA 2024. From the show floor to the putting green, contractors were eager to talk to us about how they’re addressing their needs for Workforce Management and Labor Productivity.

Here’s (some of) what we learned.

Austin: The sheet metal and mechanical contractors at SMACNA were very interested in education. From a full house during Ernie Menold’s session on Workforce Management, to contractors coming to our booth.

Contractors realize they may have an issue and can see there’s a for education creating better Labor Planning habits at their companies.

Director of Sales

Cedric: I learned that Fireball whiskey doesn’t help with your golf swing.

On a serious note, after dozens of conversations it’s clear that improving Labor Productivity is both a key priority and massive challenge for many contractors.

Labor Productivity is the backbone of one’s operational success. Accurate and usable data is the compass that guides every critical decision. At its core, actionable data empowers teams to make informed decisions and contractors are doubling down!

Kevin Gendron
Account Executive

Kevin: We always say relationships, but at SMACNA it rang true again. Especially from our contractors. The successful conversations we had throughout the week were thanks in large part to them being RIVET ambassadors.

Contractors we connected with – either previously or at our booth – talked about how they heard of us through peer groups and presentations throughout the week. It speaks volumes about how RIVET is perceived in the industry.
